Arsenal had made wholesale changes at Underhill at half time with Arshavin, Rosicky, wilshere and gallas among the absentees to make way in the second half for their youthful counterparts with new recruit Thomas Vermaelen being the only starter to continue in the second half.
After a strong finish from Barnet in the first half to level the match at 1-1, Half time substitute Nacer Barazite wasted little time in putting the gunners ahead with a beautifully paced curler into the top right corner of Viners goal. Despite some good play in the second half Arsenal were caught out by some good pressure by Barnet and a moment of defensive confusion allowed Elliot Charles to slot home the equaliser from 5 yards.
Arsenal may have been dissapointed not to get the victory but what will be hearteneing for Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans was the returning appearance of Thomas Rosicky who looked sprightly in his first return to match conditions in over a year.
